Educating the Community: Thrive Hearing at the Senior Expo

Thrive Hearing and Tinnitus Solutions was proud to participate in the recent Senior Expo. Our Clinical Manager, Lexie Vandiver, and Clinical Assistant, Cara Chilson, represented our team with an educational table aimed at helping attendees understand the importance of hearing health.

Bringing Awareness to Hearing Loss

Hearing loss is often overlooked, yet it can significantly affect communication, social engagement, and overall quality of life — especially for seniors. At our table, Lexie and Cara provided valuable information on:

  • Recognizing early signs of hearing loss

  • The connection between hearing health and cognitive wellness

  • Safe practices for ear care

  • Available solutions

Visitors were able to ask questions, learn about the impact of untreated hearing issues, and explore ways to protect and improve their hearing. The interactive experience made education approachable, empowering attendees to take proactive steps toward their auditory health.

Strengthening Community Connections

Participating in the Senior Expo aligns with our mission to support community wellness and lifelong engagement. Events like these provide an opportunity to connect directly with seniors and caregivers, share expertise, and foster meaningful conversations about hearing care.

At Thrive Hearing, we believe that education is just as important as treatment. Every conversation at the expo was a chance to empower individuals with knowledge, helping them maintain clarity, confidence, and connection in every aspect of life.

We are grateful to the Professional Network on Aging for hosting such an informative and engaging event and look forward to continuing our work educating and supporting the community.
